Recently, the Department of Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce conducted visits to modern trade retailers to monitor the situation of consumer goods, assessing product availability and price management for items essential to people’s livelihoods. During its latest visit to makro–Lotus’s, one of the country’s leading wholesale and retail operators, officials aimed to reassure consumers that essential products including rice, cooking oil, eggs, fresh food, dry food, and household necessities—remain sufficiently stocked across all branches, with no shortages reported.
